Recently, representatives from Barnet Homes participated in our City & Guilds course on Domestic Fire and Carbon Monoxide (CO) Alarm Systems at our Oswestry head office. Barnet Homes is a leading housing association based in London, their mission is ‘To make a real difference to every customer’. This year Barnet Homes have installed over 2,500 dwellings with our HomeLINK Connected Home Solution, utilising the system to provide safer homes for residents and deliver social value, while generating a return on investment.
Our free City & Guilds assured training provides comprehensive knowledge of Domestic Fire & CO Alarm Systems. This full-day training course delves into the design, installation, maintenance, interconnection, placement, and electrical connection of domestic alarm systems. Delivered by a member of our expert Technical Team, the course encompasses a mix of theoretical and hands-on practical sessions. The day’s learning culminates in an open-book exam, which all Barnet Homes attendees completed.
Shah Mushood, Fire Safety Project Manager at Barnet Homes said of his experience“I sat this training course and I found the whole day very interesting and very informative, the training was delivered to a very high standard from all the trainers on the day. Four more of our staff have recently completed the course and provided positive feedback as well. I would personally like to say a very big thank you to members of team who have been involved in both training days.”
Aico offers this qualification to all our Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) that specify our products. Tristan Potkins, Regional Specification Manager for North London, who attended the course with his Barnet Homes clients, commented: “City & Guilds represents an exceptional opportunity to expand knowledge and demonstrate our commitment to providing our clients with the resources they need to manage their housing stock effectively and proactively address new regulations and safety measures. We encourage our social housing landlords to complete our Expert Installer training before applying. Local Authorities can register by contacting their local Regional Specification Manager.”
