If you know Aico well or follow us on social media, you may have heard us talk about our pride in our quality, service and innovation. Yes, this is a strong and very certain ethos to shout about, but it is because we truly believe in it and what’s more, we can demonstrate it.
Quality is embedded in Aico alarms from as early as the concept phase. This is because all Aico alarms are designed, developed and manufactured at our parent company, Ei Electronics, located in Shannon, South West Ireland. This means that Aico can work closely in partnership with the factory through the whole process to ensure that each alarm model is developed with the quality our brand demands. Once the alarm is finished in the development phase, the benefits of Ei Electronics producing alarms for over fifty years means that their experience is then injected into the design and manufacture phase. The design stage ensures that only quality components, mostly sourced locally, are used but that the finish is high quality also. In manufacture, rigorous cell style processes are set up to ensure each alarm is at it’s optimum, followed by a series of tests performed on every single alarm to ensure that quality one more time. Of course, today in Britain, an electrical item wouldn’t be classed as quality if it didn’t meet the relevant British Standards, this is why our alarms are kite marked to the relevant British Standard.
Quality products should always be backed up by excellent service. At Aico, to ensure our customers are always looked after in the easiest way possible for them, both an in-house Sales Team and Technical Team are available via phone, email or live chat. Our Sales Team are not only on hand to ensure orders are processed correctly and swiftly, but they can also give simple selection, siting and maintenance guidance. Should you need more complicated advice, our Technical Team can provide in-depth advice for all of our alarm ranges, talk you through any issues you may be having with an alarm and help with specifications. Should you need face to face advice or on-going support, we now have twenty-one Regional Specification Managers (RSMs) across the country for extra support. We further support our supply chain by offering the Electrical Wholesalers that we distribute through a range of marketing support such as POS as well as advice and training if needed.
Excellent service not only means for our customers, but also for our end users. This is why we offer free of charge CPD accredited Expert Installer training to contractors, RSL’s and other professionals to ensure that quality alarms are fitted with a quality installation.
Technology now-a-days never stands still. This means that it is important to always stay at the forefront of innovation and drive development of your products. This is something Aico have always been known for, whether this was being first to market with:
This innovation has continued into our latest alarm series, the 3000 Series. Our innovation is always based on what our customer’s want and need, this is why in the 3000 series we listened and produced a series that contains all of the alarms you need to protect a whole property from fire and CO. What’s more, our customers wanted a more modern looking CO alarm that fits on the same easifit base as our other alarms, this was the basis for our new Ei3018.
To ensure we keep pushing innovation, we not only have R&D teams at the Ei factory, we now have an in-house Product Development Manager to work with our customers and push our innovation as far as it can go.
