At Aico it is not just about alarms. One of our core values is creating safer communities, therefore in August 2020, we decided to increase our support for the Fire and Rescue Service.
As the leaders in home life safety, we are delighted to have been selected as a supplier to the West Midlands Fire & Rescue Service framework. Watch our video to find out more about Aico and the support and services we can provide.
We have developed a 60-minute FIA CPD certified training module specifically tailored to the Fire and Rescue Service based upon our award-winning Expert Installer scheme. The presentation focuses on the recommendation of BS 5839-6:2019+A1:2020, Code of Practice for the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire detection and fire alarm systems in domestic premises.
The training will also give an overview of sensor types, data extraction and connected solutions. There is no cost to the F&RS for this training.
We have four mobile training units that travel the length and breadth of the country to showcase our products and technologies whilst supporting our Expert Installer Training scheme.
The Mobile Training Units are used to support a number of events, including fire safety awareness sessions, training days, open days, tenant engagement days and more recently mental health awareness sessions.
If you are organising an event and would like a Mobile Training Unit to attend and provide support, please register your interest using the form below. There is no cost to the F&RS for the use of the mobile unit.
Our Centre of Excellence at our headquarters in Oswestry is the perfect place to host meetings, training workshops and seminars.
The Centre of Excellence consists of an auditorium, that seats up to 116 people, a technical workshop, which is perfect for hands on training, a breakout room and Ember Place. Ember place is made up of three bespoke rooms, a 60’s living room, 90’s kitchen and a futuristic bedroom. The rooms are used to demonstrate where alarms should be sited and to educate visitors on potential fire risks.
This facility is available for the F&RS to use free of charge. Please fill in the below to discuss your requirements and availability.
We have a number of marketing assets available which can be downloaded and sent out in the post. One of our most popular marketing assets is our Tenant pack, which we launched as part our #AlarmsSaveLives campaign. The pack contains A3 Posters, A4 Posters, A5 Tenant user cards, coaster, magnet and pen.
If you would like a pack sending out or to discuss using our assets in your own campaign or for dual branding opportunities please get in touch using the form below.
To increase our support to the Fire and Rescue Service, we have partnered with two Brigades; Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service and Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service.
As part of partnership with Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service, we have sponsored two of their Fire Engines. The sponsorship involved the centre water ladder lockers of each engine having graphics printed on them, to encourage and highlight to residents the importance of testing their alarms.
We have shown our support to Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service through the use of our facilities to host one of the Brigade’s team meetings.
“Aico have provided unparalleled customer service and support, whether it be by Andy Sturgess, the Regional Specification Manager for our area or the teams within the head office. They have worked to train all of our watches on the government standards and technical requirements, and have worked with us to educate local government on best practice. The island has never had support like this, everyone at Aico is always going the extra mile and the training they provide is excellent.”
Martin Lucas, Head of Fire Safety at Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service
