Aico’s National Apprentice of the Year

Who can enter?

Aico’s National Apprentice of the Year 2024 competition can be entered by an electrical apprentice currently enrolled on an apprenticeship scheme. A representative like a college or company may also assist the apprentice with the application. This is open to apprentices UK-wide.

This is a fantastic opportunity for apprentices, employers, and colleges to showcase our current talent in the industry.

When do entries close?

Entries are now closed. Each entry will be judged, and a shortlist will be created with the finalists announced on Friday, 19th January 2024.

How do you enter?

What can finalists expect?

• From the entries, 12 selected nominees will be asked to attend the JTL training centre in Birmingham for a practical assessment day on Wednesday, 14th February 2024.
• Each candidate that makes it to this stage will receive a state-of-the-art toolkit packed with all the tools an electrician would need.
• The top six candidates concluding this stage will be invited to the Aico Community Awards Ceremony on Thursday, 18th April 2024, where the winner will be announced in front of a packed industry audience.
• The winner of the award will be recognised industry wide and will also be adding a top of the range multi function tester to their toolkit worth up to £1400.
