Aico Appoints Andy Speake as its New National Technical Manager

Aico, the UK’s market leader in domestic mains powered Fire and Carbon Monoxide (CO) Alarms, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Speake to the prestigious role of National Technical Manager.

Andy joined Aico in 2016 in a technical capacity, moving swiftly to IT Manager. Coming from a B2B IT background, including roles in technical support and consultancy, his skills were readily transferable.

Andy’s Role as National Technical Manager

As National Technical Manager, Andy’s primary role is managing the technical department, including a dedicated technical team which deals with customer enquiries and providing technical support to the Aico sales team, plus overseeing and developing Aico’s industry leading Expert Installer training scheme. He has been instrumental in moving Expert Installer to the next stage, with a relaunch planned at FIREX this June.

Andy also works closely with Aico parent company Ei Electronics to research and develop new products. He represents Aico on a number of leading industry organisations, including British Standards and CoGDEM (Council of Gas Detection and Environmental Monitoring), helping to maintain Aico’s outstanding reputation within the industry.
