SkillsCymru is the largest series of careers events, aimed at jobs, skills and apprenticeships in Wales. Located in Cardiff and Llandudno, attracting up to 10,000 people each year.
Dan Thomas, Regional Specification Manager and Jane Pritchard, Community Liaison, both of Aico, recently exhibited at the Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff on Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th October 2019, supporting the ECA (Electrical Contractors Association).
Year 10, 11 students as well as students in further education attended this event with their families also getting involved with hands-on demonstrations, challenging activities and skills taster sessions. The aim of the day was to inspire and motivate the students who are considering their future careers either in further education or training courses.
Michelle Morgan-Loughman, ECA Regional Manager, South Wales who was supporting the event in Cardiff commented, “It was fantastic to attend SkillsCymru again, this year to promote the range of skills and opportunities, available to young people looking for a career within our industry and together with our industry partners, we look forward to supporting SkillsCymru again in 2020”.
