Local charity, Hope House Children’s Hospice, enlisted the support of Aico colleagues with their annual Christmas mailing last week, sending out packs nationwide.
Aico are a long-time partner and Business Champion of Hope House. The Oswestry-based Centre of Excellence for children’s palliative care, ensures every family facing the death of a child gets the very best care and support, when and where they need it. Aico were announced as Business Champion of Hope House as a result of their monetary donations covering the cost of 10 days’ PPE for one child’s stay during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Alongside one of the charity’s trustees, Aico colleagues Louise Cowling, Jo Massey, Damian Parry, Luke Allwood-Reid and Paul Cartwright got into the festive spirit by packing over 1,000 envelopes containing the charity’s Christmas newsletter, yuletide raffle tickets and much more, ready to be delivered across the country.
Dianne Murr, Volunteering Officer at Hope House commented “I want to say thank you so much to Louise, Jo, Damian, Luke and Paul for their help with the mailing on Tuesday 02nd November. Together, they packed 1,200 envelopes which was fantastic. They were also good company, we enjoyed spending the day with them! We really appreciate the help.”
Marketing Executive for Aico, Louise Cowling enjoyed the day and said “It was great to be involved with the Christmas mailing at Hope House, they are an incredible, local charity providing valuable support to families. At Aico, we are always looking for ways to support charities and this was a lovely way to get into the festive spirit!”.
