Aico, the UK’s market leader in domestic mains powered Fire and Carbon Monoxide (CO) Alarms, is pleased to announce the launch of the latest Electrical Contractors Handybook in an App.
First launched in paper format in 2008, the Handybook is regarded as the industry’s must have guide to domestic smoke alarm installation. Electrical Contractors see it as essential reading / reference material in regards to choosing, installing, testing and maintaining Smoke and CO Alarms. In line with Aico’s commitment to sustainability, the latest version – the 4th edition – now comes as an easy to use App.
The new Aico Handybook App contains guides to standards & regulations; alarm identification, including the ability to scan an alarm barcode to identify the make and model; alarm selection, using housing graphics with colour codes to clearly show which Aico products are suited to which rooms and which property types; installation details; and an overview of Aico alarm technologies, such as AudioLINK and RadioLINK.
The Product section in the Handybook App shows Aico’s full product range, including the new 3000 Series. Each product page features a quick overview of the product and its key features, plus links to datasheets and instructions.
Taking full advantage of the multimedia format, the Handybook App has a Video section, which is home to a series of short informative videos designed to provide customers with a range of educational and practical advice. The videos address subjects such as standards, regulations, best practice, the latest Aico alarm technology and step by step guides to the most frequently asked questions, including how to choose the right sensor type.
For maximum convenience, the new Handybook App enables you to search for your nearest wholesalers stocking Aico product by postcode, town or county. You can also contact Aico by email and phone directly from the App should you need any further assistance.
