Overview of the role

An exciting new opportunity to join the European Market Leader in Home Life Safety as a Marketing Executive. The successful applicant will be trained to play an active part in our busy friendly marketing team.

Personal qualities

  • Able to commute reliably to our Oswestry office and to work hours required to meet demands of the role (occasionally outside the norm when required).
  • Must have a clean (or near clean) driving licence.
  • A strong teamplayer as well as being self-motivated with a desire to succeed.
  • A passion for marketing, graphic design and copywriting.
  • Able to prioritise and work to deadlines and time pressures.
  • Organised and methodical with high levels of attention to detail.

Qualifications & experience

A Marketing/Copywriting background with experience is preferable, ideally supported by formal marketing qualifications from a recognised body (e.g. CIM).

Computer skills

Must have excellent IT competency and computer literacy, particularly in the following:

  • Microsoft Office 2000 or later: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher
  • Adobe Cretaive Cloud: Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Website management tools: WordPress
  • Email marketing software
  • CRM optimisation
  • Social media scheduling platforms
  • Competent to use the internet for research and data acquisition.

Literacy and numeracy

Excellent literacy with a keen interest in copywriting and exemplary proofreading skills. High levels of numeracy are required with the ability to manage project costs and work to a budget. Results-driven with the ability to analyse ROI. Basic understanding of SageX3 is beneficial.

Business skills

Preferably experience in the full marketing mix. Must be able to analyse company information and use it to shape marketing activity and understand the features and benefits of our products, services, and activities and be able to translate them into effective marketing campaigns and content.

Must be an excellent verbal and written communicator and be able to communicate effectively at all levels to both internal and external stakeholders as well as with external agencies.

Duties and responsibilities

  • To assist in all marketing activities as part of the marketing team
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns per the overall marketing plan and objectives
  • Planning, design, production, and analysis of the impact of the following:
  • Advertising: adverts, editorials, advertorials, website banners
  • Email marketing
  • Internal and External Newsletters
  • Written content: press releases, blogs, and case studies
  • Literature, merchandise and POS
  • Websites
  • Social Media scheduling and analytics
  • Video and Animation
  • Work with and manage external agencies
  • Production and issue of internal company presentations
  • Plan and attend exhibitions and events
